In this exhibition four recently renovated Queenslander houses are presented, captured in photographs by Christopher Frederick Jones and architectural plans that have been hand drawn by Laura Patterson. Award-winning architects have thoughtfully reimagined these much-loved homes, located in the Brisbane character suburbs of Auchenflower, West End and New Farm. The interiors of the original houses have been respectfully opened up and adapted to suit a contemporary lifestyle. Drawing on the best aspects of life in a Queenslander house the architects have created bespoke dwellings that are connected to the landscape; to a street, courtyard, backyard or distant view.
