Join the Australian Tapestry Workshop as special guest Sir Jonathan Mills AO, FRSE, launches the Tapestry Design Prize for Architects (TDPA). Celebrate with us online as the highly anticipated site for the 2021 design challenge is revealed, and we share details on how to enter this unique international $10,000 prize.
The TDPA encourages innovation and visionary thinking by challenging architects to design contemporary tapestries. Since 2015 the prize has fostered exciting new creative dialogues between architects and tapestry weavers. From architectural students to globally recognized firms, the prize has received over 300 tapestry design entries.
The 2021 winner will be selected by judges Cameron Bruhn (chair), Brook Andrew, Diane Jones, Valerie Kirk, Dimmity Walker and John Wardle, and there will be a $1,000 people’s choice award. The TDPA 2021 is generously supported by Metal Manufactures Limited, Architecture Media, Creative Victoria and the City of Port Phillip.
