Grant Quinn’s first solo exhibition, Architectural Layers, documents aesthetic reverence in the work of renowned Ipswich architect George Brockwell Gill through the medium of photography.
Revelling in Brockwell Gill’s contribution to Ipswitch’s built environment, Quinn identifies six significant buildings for closer inspection. He captures the presence and intricate details of each building, drawing parallels between shapes, materials and forms. Quinn’s commitment to revealing nuances in his subject matter encourages the audience to appreciate these everyday surroundings in a new light.
