Biography

Lindy Atkin is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects and co-director of Bark Architects, a small regional practice on the Sunshine Coast. She has worked as an architect for over 30 years: 8 with large and small practices in London, Sydney, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and the last 22 directing Bark Architects. 

She was the creative director for the 2016 AIA Regional Conference, an AIA Gold Medal Juror in 2017, a speaker at the 2018 AIA National Conference, a jury member for Architecture Media’s Houses Awards in 2019 and appointed to the Queensland Urban Design and Places Panel for the Queensland Government in 2020. 

Lindy has been an AIA Queensland Chapter councillor and a member of the AIA Queensland Regional Affairs Committee for the last eight years and is the current chair of the Sunshine Coast Open House.
