Biography

Architect, academic, and innovator Alisa Andrasek is the professor of design innovation technologies at Melbourne's RMIT University, a founder of Biothing, and co-founder of Bloom Games and aiBuild. Her work introduced concepts of a renewed logical core of architecture, high-resolution design for complexity and aesthetics of unseen. Prior to joining RMIT, she held the position of director of B-Pro (Bartlett Prospective) architectural design and research laboratory Wonderlab at University College London, Bartlett, focused on computational design, artificial intelligence, and robotic constructability. 

In the past she held appointments at the European Graduate School in Switzerland, Architectural Association in London, and Columbia University and the Pratt Institute in New York. Andrasek’s work has been exhibited and resides in permanent collections, including the Centre Pompidou (Paris), New Museum (New York), Storefront (New York), FRAC Collection (Orleans, France), TB-A21 (Vienna), ZKM (Karlsruhe, Germany), National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), and the Beijing, Prague, Sydney and Venice Biennales.
