Kotchakorn Voraakhom






Kotchakorn Voraakhom is a landscape architect from Thailand who works on building productive green public space that tackles climate change in dense urban areas and climate-vulnerable communities. She is the CEO and founder of Porous City Network and landscape architecture design firm Landprocess.

In 2011, Thailand suffered its worst flooding in its history. In response, Kotchakorn set out to populate the Thai capital with climate-resilient green spaces.This park, the Chulalongkorn Centenary Park gives Bangkok a spark of aspiration in how the city can choose to address its threatened future while allowing new landscape architecture strategies to emerge. 

Kotchakorn has been named one of TIME's100 Next for 2019, a program that spotlights 100 rising stars who are shaping the future of the world. She is also on the list of 15 women fighting against climate change from TIME Magazine. Kotchakorn is a chairperson for Landscape Architecture Without Borders of International Federation of Landscape Architects, Asia Pacific Region (IFLA APR), and a TED Echoing Green Climate Fellow. She received her master's in landscape architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.
