Biography
Loata (Debra) Ho is a feminist researcher and founder of Women Build. She is a mother and Fiji’s only architecturally trained Indigenous woman, of mixed iTaukei and Chinese heritage. The A I Tatadra project for the women of Cakaudrove province won an International Good Design Award and has represented the Pacific region at the Venice Biennale. She has worked as an in-country coordinator for Architects Without Frontiers and for award-winning commercial practices in Brisbane and Sydney. Loata is currently undertaking post graduate research in post-disaster recovery.
