Join Brisbane's vibrant craft, design and architecture community for a night of ideas and stories in a special PechaKucha X Artisan event for the Asia Pacific Architecture Festival 2021. A range of engaging presenters will share their thoughts through a selection of 20 slides on the topic of “craft” – exploring a considered approach to design through the lens of craft, art and architecture. This event will also be live-streamed via the PechaKucha and Artisan Facebook pages.
Speakers:
Michelle Hamer: Artist in Artisan's current Machinery Street Gallery exhibition and winner of inaugural Tapestry Workshop Prize for Architects. Presenting via video.
Elizabeth Shaw: Head of jewellery and small objects at Griffith University Queensland College of Art. Feature artist in Artisan's current Shaw and Shaw: Radical Localism exhibition.
Paul Hotston: Director of Phorm Architecture and Design.
Tim Benneton: Director of Tim Bennetton Architects.
Jenna Lee: Queer, Asian, Aboriginal interdisciplinary artist and graphic designer. Presenting via video.
