Biography

Jonathan Kopinski is a designer and PhD candidate at the University of Queensland’s School of Architecture. He has worked across a number of project and research-based practices within the fields of architecture, urbanism and landscape. Following several years in small practice, he moved into the academic field, working as a design tutor and studio leader with an international focus on landscape architecture and utopian urbanism. In 2014 he founded the collaborative design studio Fehlberg Park, undertaking both speculative and constructed commissions across a number of design platforms, including architecture, interior design and landscape design. His PhD research focuses on the production of designed landscapes within the globalized cities of the Asia Pacific region, specifically Singapore, Hong Kong, Brisbane and Sydney.
