Melbourne, Australia

Kim Bridgland is a founding director at the award-winning architecture studio Edition Office and is also a practising artist who has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally. He gained a Master of Architecture at RMIT University (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Newcastle (honours). His parallel practice as an artist strongly informs his thoughts on architecture. This influence comes from an exposure to rich and diverse ways of thinking and writing about complex cultural and aesthetic concerns, as well as from his own sculptural practice that allows an intimate and creative level of material exploration. This experience within the arts adds a deep richness to his thinking and methodology toward both architectural practice and the public conversations that surround it.
