Biography

Sam Bowstead is an associate at JDA Co., a leading architectural practice for flood, fire and storm resilience. Sam has been involved in the practice’s climate adaptation work from its inception through to its current involvement in the Queensland government’s Flood Resilient Homes Program. Sam’s own home flooded in 2022, making headlines for its flood-resilient design. He has led some of JDA Co.’s more complex architectural projects, including the recent transformation of Brisbane’s much-loved Princess Theatre.
